“When remembering the falsely labeled “sin of presumption,” let’s not forget that not only are these liars in Heaven but that they all had assurance of the fact that they’d wind up in eternity with God after death. David spoke about knowing one day he would go to his son (II Sam. 12:23). Jesus said that Abraham rejoiced to the see His day (John 8:56). Paul had assurance of his salvation (II Tim. 1:12, Phil. 1:6) and so did Peter (I Peter 1:3-4). Apparently the “sin of presumption” wasn’t enough to knock them out.”
